Municipality of Agria
7 kilometres south-east of Volos lies Agria, a well-known seaside resort beside the Pagasitic Gulf, the centre of the Municipality of the same name.
Agria is a dynamic, modern country town, bustling with life all year round.
The innumerable beachfront tavernas, restaurants, tsipouro bars and cafes offer the visitor a host of gastronomic pleasures and endless hours of relaxation.
Every summer there is a variety of cultural and artistic events, such as the International Guitar Festival, featuring soloists from all over the world. Visitors should try to see the Timios Stavros chapel with its superb wood-carved screen, and the chapel of the Panayia, built high on a rock.

A visit to nearby Drakeia will provide a pleasant surprise. Visit the village square, stroll along the narrow streets and admire the tower-houses, the lush greenery and abundant running water, the unique Pagonis paintings at the chapel of Aghios Georgios and the museum at the old Triantafyllos house.
